Life without Plastic?

I have deep appreciation for Plastic. How can we survive without plastic in our lives? You open your eyes... everything is made of plastic these days. As the Ad shows, plastic has made our lives convenient and comfortable in many ways, starting with pacifier in the mouth of a newborn to the life support tubing in the nose of someone on the deathbed, and everything else in between. I can not think of our life without plastic. It is one of the commendable contribution of Science & Technology. The plastic has become synonymous with money, so "Don't leave home without it". Though it has so many benefits, some people think it still may not qualify as food. They also say we are consuming substantial amount of plastic and could be a cause of concern in few health disorders. Doesn't plastic add flexibility to muscle and strength to bones etc? One thing I wonder about is how our kidneys, liver, heart, pancreas, stomach, etc. work with plastic in our body. Hope our body knows how to use or loose plastics inside.
